Glasgow Short Film Festival launches Shorts in Support

This autumn and winter, enhance your programme with a selection of gorgeous shorts from Glasgow Short Film Festival.

A supporting short film is a great way introduce exciting upcoming Scottish and international filmmakers to a wider audience, broaden your programme and generate a dialogue between short and feature.

Glasgow Short Film Festival (GSFF) is offering Scottish cinemas and film societies a slate of seven shorts from their 2024 Festival to screen before features. The shorts include fiction, documentary, animation and family films, with durations ranging from 2 to 7 minutes to enable a variety programming contexts. None of the films have BBFC certification, but recommended certificates are provided, and we have included a couple of titles suitable for the youngest cinemagoers.

Venue programmers can choose which short they wish to screen alongside which feature, making this a collaborative curatorial process. The shorts are listed in the Venue Pack below, and GSFF have included theme and genre tags, as well as some pairing suggestions, for your convenience.
