Apply to be a New Producer
-
Date
5th October 2023
Deadline: Thursday 12 October, 5pm.
Interviews will be held week commencing 23rd October.
We are offering an exciting training opportunity for people who’d like to better understand how to produce film events for audiences in Scotland.
The New Producers scheme aims to increase the number of marginalised people working for cinemas and festivals within Scotland. This includes those marginalised due to race, gender, sexuality, age, class, and disability. This comes from a recognition that these identities are not adequately represented within the Scottish screen industry.
These positions are offered part time for four months at the real living wage of £10.90ph. Each role is offered for four months, 3 days per week. Note: this may vary between organisations – to be discussed at the interview.
Host organisations for New Promoter placements are Alchemy Film & Moving Image Festival, Glasgow Short Film Festival, Glasgow Film Festival and The Pyramid at Anderston.
You don’t need any previous film experience, just a passion for cinema and an interest in working in the industry.
If this sounds like the opportunity for you, please complete the form below. When completing the form please consider other work you have undertaken and how some of these skills may be transferable or developed upon within this role.
- Please note that this opportunity is not open to full time students.
- Participants must have the right to work in the UK.
