Small volunteer-run exhibition organisations, such as film societies and community cinemas, are now invited to apply for small awards to enhance their programmes and develop new audiences.
Organisations, who must be members of Film Hub Scotland, can apply for up to £2,000 funding to host special events, invite speakers and undertake other additional activity to support their 2015/16 programme. The awards will support small-scale exhibitors to diversify their programme, underwrite risk and promote their screenings. Awards will be prioritised according to quality of proposal and need within the geographic region.
The support available through this scheme is £20,000 in total. We expect to allocate approximately half that sum in each round, however, we are not working to set levels in order to allow for flexibility in the way this money is allocated. We expect to support projects in the range of £500 – £2,000, which will be paid in one instalment.
There will be two rounds for this fund in 2015. The deadline for the first round was 6 July, details for how to apply to the second round will appear here soon. If you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
