Regional Screen Scotland’s Local Film Festival Fund is now open for applications. Festivals and organisations offering community cinema provision are invited to apply for up to £3,000 to support a film festival event taking place anytime before January 31 2017.
A rolling programme of application is being instigated for the remainder of the year. Applications will be assessed on a six weekly basis.
In keeping with RSS’s remit, applications should cater for areas of Scotland where communities cannot routinely access a cinema or where a local initiative would enhance their community, grow audiences for film and increase the knowledge, skills and capacity of the exhibition sector.
First assessments will be made week commencing 23 May 2016 and the final deadline for applications is 7 November 2016. For more information and to apply please visit Regional Screen Scotland's website.
The funding for Local Film Festivals is devolved by Regional Screen Scotland on behalf of Creative Scotland and Film Hub Scotland.
