Background
As part of the BFI's Film Audience Network (BFI FAN), Film Hub Scotland (FHS) is one of nine Hubs set up across the UK with the aim of extending film choice, increasing and broadening film audiences, and enhancing opportunities for audiences to engage with and learn about film.

Film Hub Scotland supports a network of 160 member organisations across Scotland – including cinemas, film societies, film festivals, multi-arts venues and pop-up initiatives – to develop their audiences by providing them with training, programming, funding and networking opportunities.

Film Hub Scotland is supported by the BFI (through National Lottery funding) and Creative Scotland, and is managed by Scottish Film, a consortium made up of Scotland’s key cultural cinemas and festivals. The BFI are making some changes to the Film Audience Network’s support and structure as part of their new 5-year strategy, BFI2022. Funding is currently confirmed for Scottish Film to manage Film Hub Scotland until the end of December 2017.
