Britain on Film Coast & Sea: Scottish events

Scotland's programme to complement the launch of the BFI’s nationwide Britain on Film Coast & Sea collection has been announced.

Live archive cinema tour Made by the Sea visits coastal communities from Ullapool to the Isle of Barra, presenting little-seen gems of Scottish life on our coast and seas.

Internationally renowned beatboxer and sound artist Jason Singh performs a live soundtrack to John Grierson's Drifters in the Following the Fleet: DRIFTERS tour starting in Leith on 5 August and re-tracing the historic herring route down Britain's east coast.

Edinburgh’s remarkable FloWave Ocean Energy Research Facility hosts a unique screening of Michael Powell's The Edge of the World at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on 1 July.
