Applications are now open for young people aged 16-19 to attend the BFI Film Academy Scotland Residential 2017 from Monday 24 July - Thursday 3 August in Edinburgh.
This intensive eleven-day course will give you the low down on the world of film through hands-on training. Participants will collaborate to produce three short films, learning key skills in screenwriting, camera, directing, production, sound and editing.
You will also learn from some of the best producers, directors, screenwriters and craft talent in the UK film industry. Master classes will cover everything from education to development and finance to festivals, and you will gain valuable advice and support towards a future career.
This opportunity is targeted at young people from across the UK who are keen to develop a career in film and have some experience in filmmaking; you may have attended a BFI Film Academy over the past few years across the UK Network, be about to start a college course, or be making films independently.
The closing date for applications is Monday 26 June (9am). For more information and to apply please visit Screen Education Edinburgh’s website.
