We work closely in partnership with the other 8 Hubs in the BFI's Film Audience Network, as well as with key national organisations, to develop and deliver UK-wide initiatives and build a stronger profile for the exhibition sector. Through these partnerships we are able to offer our members opportunities to take part in UK-wide audience development projects and sector-specific training, and access to a national network of exhibitors for peer-to-peer learning.
Cinema For All is the national support and development organisation for community-led cinema: community cinemas, film clubs and societies. Since 1946 they have been helping communities across the country to develop and sustain the type of film screenings they want.
The Independent Cinema Office (ICO) is the national support organisation for independent exhibitors acting as programming advisors, distributors, consultants, development agents, and providers of training and other services.
Into Film is a film education charity that puts film at the heart of the educational and personal development of children and young people aged 5–19 across the UK. Working closely with Creative Scotland and Scottish Film Education, their work with schools is key to raising the profile of moving image education in Scotland.
The National Library of Scotland Moving Image Archive is home to a film and video collection of over 100 years of Scotland's history. The archive houses more than 32,000 items, mostly non-fiction, including documentaries, newsreels, educational material, television and public information films, industrial material, advertising and promotional material.
Scottish Film Education has been established to develop the ambition, engagement and participation of young people and education partners in film and the moving image in Scotland. Their emphasis is on developing visual literacy in support of more traditional literacy, through curriculum and educator development within primary, secondary and tertiary education.
The UKCA advocates on behalf of the UK cinema sector at international, national, regional and local level. Its membership includes single screen/owner managed sites as well as the largest circuit and multiplex operators.
